Mauricio Arias - piano
Mauricio was born in Bogota, Colombia. He holds a Bachelor's Degree Summa Cum Laude in piano performance from Fundacion Universitaria Juan N. Corpas in Bogota with a minor in composition.
During his short career as a pianist, he has been featured as a soloist with the Tolima Symphony Orchestra, Corpas Symphony Orchestra, Filarmonica del Valle, National Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba. He has been a prize winner of several national and international piano competitions.
Mauricio is now pursuing a Doctoral degree at Arizona State University, where he studies with Robert Hamilton.
